The Shilin Night Market (Chinese: 士林夜市; pinyin: Shìlín Yèshì) is a night market in the Shilin District of Taipei, Taiwan, and is often considered to be the largest and most famous night market in the city.

The food court used to be on ground level, which was probably rather unhygienic. Nowadays the food court has been relocated underground, as can be seen here in this panoramic view. This was taken around 5pm, right before it becomes crowdy. By six o’clock the place was so packed that I could barely move around.
